Taxon description
Gatunek pannoński, rozsiedlony od Ukrainy zachodniej i Rumunii przez Europę Środkową aż do Włoch północnych i dorzecza Renu. Wszędzie, również w Polsce, rzadko i sporadycznie spotykany, znany u nas tylko z czterech krain. Larwy odżywiają się grzybami rosnącymi na obumierających korzeniach drzew. Postacie dorosłe występują w lecie; odbywają loty przed zachodem słońca i nocą.
