Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1992:
Gatunek znany z Włoch, Półwyspu Bałkańskiego, Austrii, Węgier, Moraw, Słowacji oraz z Polski, notowany ponadto z Azji Mniejszej i Kaukazu. U nas wykazywany z Pienin na podstawie jedynej wzmianki sprzed przeszło 50 lat. Bionomia tego chrząszcza nie jest dokładnie poznana. Jedyną dotychczas wskazaną rośliną żywicielską jest rutwica lekarska — Galega officinalis L. rosnąca na mokrych łąkach i w rowach. Postacie dojrzałe poławiano od maja do sierpnia. Żerują one na liściach, gdzie wyżerają parenchymę, wydrążając owalne lub pasemkowe otwory.
